The Hume Highway is a significant part of my life. As a child, my family and I traveled to Sydney in my parents' VW Combie, which was very loud. We spent hours and hours journeying through this highway, stuck together. Back then, it used to take longer to travel, and this highway has been developed so many times since the 1970s.
So many flash backs nowadays when I am travelling through this hwy.
I wanted to capture the colors and personality of this highway, adding my own personal signature and style. I also aimed to incorporate an abundance of texture to finish this piece.
The Hume Highway is a major arterial road in Australia, connecting the cities of Sydney and Melbourne. Stretching over 800 kilometers, it is a crucial transportation corridor that facilitates the movement of goods and people between these two prominent urban centers.
